We kick off the year 2025 with this infographic on artificial intelligence. Since the emergence of ChatGPT and other generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) models, it seems that everything has to go through it. But not all AI is generative, in fact, AI is not something that has emerged in recent times, rather it has been evolving for quite a few decades and achieving milestones that have led to today’s developments.
In this infographic, which you can download in PDF at the end of the article, we show how artificial intelligence has evolved since the mid-20th century. We also focus on the evolution of the capabilities that generative artificial intelligence is achieving in skills more typical of human beings, such as reading comprehension, predictive reasoning and speech recognition.
And finally, just one fact: half of the experts surveyed in various studies estimate that human-level artificial intelligence will have been developed by 2060.
